JD MD Consulting, LLC was founded by Dr. Nicole Chicoine, JD, MD. Her experience as a physician in both academic and community medicine and an attorney provides her with a unique set of skills to offer a broad range of MedicoLegal services.

Dr. Chicoine practices Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington (UW) and with Eastside Emergency Medicine Physicians (EEP, LLC). Prior to becoming a physician, she received her law degree from the UW School of Law, became an Adjunct Professor for the UW School of Law, and practiced law for ten years in the Northwest. Representing physicians in Medicare/Medicaid investigations led her interest to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Chicoine received her medical degree from the UW School of Medicine with Honors. She received her residency training at the UW Department of Emergency Medicine. During her tenure as a resident, she developed a MedicoLegal education curriculum and continues to serve as the MedicoLegal educator for the UW Department of Emergency Medicine and the physicians of EEP.

Dr. Chicoine is board-certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine and remains a member of the Washington State Bar Association.

Dr. Chicoine dedicates her spare time to providing medical care to the underserved of Haiti.
